Their slick advertising targets younger women with these slogans, Who says, “that time of the month” has to be every month? And, “Are you ready for birth control with 4 periods? “You can have 4 periods a year with Seasonique.”
A new birth control pill, Seasonique, is being marketed to women so they can have the convenience of only having four menstrual periods a year. I thought to my self, what is this world coming to? First the cloning animals, then they started genetically modifying our foods and now pharmacuetical companies want to regulate a woman’s menstrual cycle???
I wonder what God thinks about this?
Where will it end? Never mind all the nasty and some lethal side effects. Anything for a buck. More like millions of bucks.
Check out these side effects I pulled from the internet:
ETHINYL ESTRADIOL; LEVONORGESTREL is an emergency contraceptive (birth control pill). It prevents pregnancy if taken within the 72 hours after unprotected sex. This medicine will not work if you are already pregnant.
What’s confusing is that on one website I found this statement:” NOTE: This product is discontinued in the United States.”
I think that at one time this was used as an abortion pill, the “morning after” pill and that’s why they disconitued it as such. But the clever and evil pharmaceutical companies are now marketing it as a birth control pill.
This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.
Brand names for this medication; Alesse®-21 Alesse®-28 Aviane™-28 Enpresse® Triphasic Lessina™ Levlen® Levlite™ Levora® Lutera™ Lybrel™ Nordette® Preven™ Seasonale® Seasonique® Tri-Levlen® Triphasil®-28 Trivora®
PLEASE READ IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:
† While you get 4 periods a year, you’re more likely to have bleeding or spotting between periods. This can be slight to a flow like a regular period and should decrease over time.
Like other birth control pills, prescription Seasonique has serious risks including blood clots, stroke and heart attack. Smoking increases these risks, especially if you’re over 35.
Wow!! Any smart women would certainly get informed ( and not by her ob-gyn.. he gets his information and training from the pharmacuetical rep $$$) before taking ANY birth control pill and or look for safer alternatives. The internet has all the information you are needing to look up.
