Compare a visit to a Medical Doctor and a visit to a Chiropractic Doctor. Generally speaking, when one goes to an MD you usually wait anywhere from 15 minutes to an our or more. You're seen by the MD on average for 3-5 minutes and walkout with usually 1-3 prescriptions. You walk out thinking "That's it??? I waited all that time and paid all this money to get prescriptions to go and pay more money for which can cause me nasty side effects?" Oh well he's/she's a Doctor they must know what they're doing. Your visit to a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) will maybe take 0-10 minutes waiting time. The Chiropractor will usually spend anywhere from 10-30 minutes with you on a first visit. while you are there...a discussion of causes and treatment options will be discussed and you will likely get some type of treatment to include: massage, hot or cold packs, stretching to the back and or hip/leg muscles, electrical muscle stimulation and spinal correction. Some Chiropractors use ultrasound or cold laser therapy. Some use Inversion therapy (hanging upside down) or slanting (Dr Gonzalez does!). You walk out of the office feeling pain relief, headache gone, a feeling of Euphoria and much more relaxed than when you arrived!
